I firmly believe that everyone gets what they deserve, even if they don't deserve it.

I also firmly believe, that while tofu may indeed be the 'perfect' food, it sucks the flavor out of whatever it's in, so rather then taking on the flavors of the other ingredients, it instead leaches them rendering the dish tasteless.  Of course in the interest of full disclosure I should mention that I have no sense of smell and therefore my sense of taste may be out of whack.


Running defines me..or at least I have always thought so, one of my job criteria is that there has to be a shower on site.  So that I could run during my lunch hour.  And so every where I've worked, I've been “Gerry, you know the guy who runs everyday”

As far as labels go, “RUNNER” isn't too bad.

I make a living programming.  Currently for a company that offers shopping carts for on-line merchants.  While I do not do what I love, I do love what I do.  My job is challenging, and engaging and I have met several wonderful people (one of which pointed me to zaadz) through my position. 

If  Running defines, then goalie describes my personality.   I think it was George Plimpton in “Empty Net” who said, if you spend any time in a hockey locker room, it will become quickly apparent which players are goalies.  We are a quirky bunch.  You have to have a circuit misfiring to stand in front of 100 mph slapshots. I bet the secret service guys were goalies.

You know those National Geographic. or discover channel photos, where there is a hippo, snoozing in the sun, mouth agape, and there is this tiny little bird perched in the hippos mouth cleaning his teeth? Ever wonder about the twist in the evolutionary tale, that caused that first bird to try that?, what kind of daft bird, seeing the gaping maw of a snoozing hippo with those telephone pole teeth, said to himself, “that looks like a great spot for lunch”. I would have been that bird!
